Revision of Prior Breast Surgeries
Case #68 Details
This healthcare professional in her mid-20s came to see me regarding a revision of her breast augmentation, performed by another surgeon . She had saline implants placed four years ago, and initially her left implant was too high. It was revised by her firstl surgeon but the left side ended up too low.
Examining the patient it was clear that the left implant had "bottomed out". One of the telltale signs, which you can see on her front view, was that her left nipple pointed towards the ceiling. The patient also wanted these implants enlarged.
I corrected the left side by closing down the bottomed out pocket using a pigskin derived skin product (Strattice). At the same time we enlarged her saline implants.
The patient is really delighted with her results, as seen on these photos taken about five weeks after surgery. Her breasts are now extremely symmetrical and she is ready for babied suit season.
