Breast Reduction Patients
Depending on several variables, including how much breast tissue must be removed, your health insurance plan may cover some or all of your breast reduction surgery. The staff at Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery has extensive experience in working with insurers for breast reduction surgeries and will work hard to maximize your coverage. Letters of support from your primary care physician, as well as physical therapists who have treated you for back, neck, or shoulder conditions, may aid this process.
Private payment and financing options are available for those patients who are not covered by insurance.
Breast Reconstruction Patients
Federal and New York state law requires health insurance plans to cover all phases of breast reconstruction after a mastectomy to treat breast cancer, including enhancements made to the unaffected breast to achieve symmetry. Our staff will work with your insurance provider to obtain approvals for all mastectomy-related reconstructive procedures.
Weight Loss Patients
Massive weight loss is a great achievement, and some insurance providers recognize that by providing coverage for abdominoplasty or other post-bariatric surgery procedures, especially if health conditions, such as rashes from excess skin, are involved. Our insurance department will help determine whether you are eligible for this coverage and will work to ensure you receive coverage whenever possible. You may expedite this process by bringing documentation from your bariatric surgeon with you to your first consultation with one of our surgeons.
