Summer is a busy season at our Long Island plastic surgery practice. Throughout June, July, and August, we see a lot of teachers and other education professionals who want to improve their bodies and their confidence before the start of a new school year.
Summer is an opportune time for these men and women to pursue surgery because it doesn’t necessitate time off from work. Like any surgery, cosmetic procedures require varying amounts of downtime. Some, such as tummy tuck surgery, also require a period of reduced activity; bending, lifting, and other movements that may strain the incision or underlying muscles are highly inadvisable. Obviously, these restrictions aren’t realistic for teachers during the school year, when their active jobs keep them moving around all day. Instead, postponing a procedure until the summertime ensures these patients have plenty of time to devote to resting and recuperating for beautiful, long-lasting results.
To treat our community’s educators, we’re offering a special deal on surgery — take 5% off surgical fees when you schedule a procedure by Aug. 31. Check out our summer newsletter for more information!
