Breast Lift Surgery on Long Island - Recovery & Results

Breast Lift
Before & After Photos

Immediately following your breast lift surgery on Long Island at our plastic surgery center, your breasts will be bandaged and you will need to wear a surgical bra to support and keep them in place. You may experience bruising, swelling and some discomfort. Pain can be easily managed with prescribed medication. You will want to rest for a couple of days and avoid any physical activities that require you to reach above your head or bend down.

Your stitches and bandages will be removed after a week. You may experience some numbness of the skin of the breast, (but generally not the nipple) which may last for a few months. You will need to continue to wear a surgical or support bra for up to 4 weeks. Being patient and cautious during your recovery will help the healing process and can reduce the amount of visible scarring.

To request your free surgical consultation, just click, or call the office of board certified plastic surgeon Dr. James Romanelli now at (631) 424-3600.

Dr. Romanelli will provide a comprehensive recovery guide to help you return to your normal, social activities and to resume any exercise routines without damaging your results. Your scars will be pink after the sutures are removed, and will mature into less visible white scars after a few months. While some scars generally are inevitable, there are many ways to minimize scars. And your new shape should more than compensate for any scars.

Your results will last for many years and the vast majority of our breast lift patients experience permanent results. Gravity, weight fluctuation and subsequent child bearing will affect your results over time.
