Your Surgical Consultation
During your initial consultation, you and Dr. Romanelli will discuss your motivations, desires, priorities, and expectations for surgery, as well as any concerns or fears you may have. We will review your medical history, prior surgeries, medications, allergies, and social habits. Your health history is vitally important information that helps us to assure your safety during your care. Please be assured that all information you provide to our team will be held in strict confidence.
After a thorough physical examination, we will formulate a plan together for the procedure or combination of procedures that will accomplish your appearance goals. Throughout your consultation and examination, our team will answer any questions you may have about any step of the process. You are encouraged to bring a spouse, significant other, family member, or friend to the consultation for additional support.
At the conclusion of the consultation, one of our patient coordinators will meet with you to assist with the insurance approval process, if applicable, and to explain costs and financing options. At this time, if you are ready to make a decision, you may also schedule your surgery. We understand that cosmetic surgery is an important personal choice — at Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery, you will never feel pressured or hurried in making your decision.
Pre-Surgery Appointment
Dr. Romanelli and the Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery team will see you again closer to the time of surgery to answer any remaining questions you may have, and to finalize your pre-operative preparation. For in-office procedures, you will speak with our anesthesiologist the night before surgery. For hospital-based procedures, you will speak with the anesthesia department during your pre-operative visit to the hospital. Depending on your health history, we may have you see your primary care physician for medical clearance prior to surgery.
